calls-- not even close [/ QUOTE ] Well, it's clearly a +EV call, even though you are rarely ahead: Board: Ad 5d 6s Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 66.274% 66.23% 00.05% 14424 10.50 { 66-55, A6s-A5s, KdQd, KdJd, 9d8d, 9d7d, 87s, 8d6d, 7d6d, 65s, 6d4d } Hand 1: 33.726% 33.68% 00.05% 7335 10.50 { AcKh } Note that this range doesn't include any pure bluffs or any hand like AJ/AQ that he's just getting over-aggro with. I much prefer calling the flop and pushing any non-[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] turn. |

Re: can I get away from tptk? 100nl
At this point call, although it probably won't be pretty. I'd try to slow things down a little on the flop. Just call the check raise and you can re-evaluate based on the turn action. Two reasons:
1) By just calling, he might think you are drawing and keep betting with a weaker ace. 2) Calling the flop might slow him down if he has a set/two pair, as he tries to get value thinking we have a weak ace. As played, we can't get away from a marginal situation, which I would prefer to avoid. |
