Re: How does this scenario happen?
Betting turn seems good. As played, yes, your opponent is a megadonk, but it doesn't look to me like he would bet this river without a flush very often. Sucks that this happened to you.

Re: How does this scenario happen?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I think a check raise on the flop is a good idea. [/ QUOTE ] 1. For a check raise to work someone has to put in a bet. 2. This isnt exactly a hand i want to just check raise and win $75 on the flop with. Premium hand with redraw. Think a check raise on this flop is about the worst play...aside from flat calling with 9223 [/ QUOTE ] 1.) The preflop raiser might continuation bet. Does he never continuation bet? You didn't even give him a chance. I thought a c/r here is standard. If the preflop raiser is decent and you are predictable, he might muck his KKXX or AAXX on the flop. But if you check to him, he might bet pot, the donkey will call, then you come over the top. If he checks, oh well you get a shot at the nuts. 2.) I think a check-raise has the best chance of making the most money here. It will also let your opponents know they shouldn't try to steal from you because you may be slowplaying. Of course, if you knew a 9223 is going to call you, then by all means bet out. |
