I think this would have been awesome. Daniel's a huge Survivor fan, and I'm sure he would have worked really hard on strategy and training. If you've read his blog, you know how worked up he gets over silly stuff like fantasy hockey and Golden Tee. For Survivor, he would have been the best prepared contestant by far, and yeah, he would have been able to ask Rob and Amber for advice. I think he would have had a good shot to go far.

I dont understand. Did Negeanu spontaneusly apply for the show or did they just pick random poker celebrities and ask? I havent watched the show since season two and have no clue how it works nowadays.

Apparently since the last season or two they are just recruiting people to be on it, from bars, Myspace, etc. I think I read that only 1 guy from the last season actually came from the pool of people who applied in the traditional way.

friend of mine tried out couple weeks ago in Seattle for the next season. Hoping he gets on as it would definitely make watching the show that much better.

and i think dn would have done pretty well on the show personality and manipulation wise--but i don't think he would be able to man up and make it through the entire period though.
