Hmm since you have no reads I think a 4bet is the only correct way to play this hand... The interesting part is the size tho.. I like a smallish 4bet a lot more if you 4bet bluff as well, make it around 300 to make him believe there is fold equity and/or he has the best hand. You won't believe how many players come over the top with AQ in that spot. Plus it balances your 4bet bluffs and overall increases your expectation (4bet bluff folds are cheaper plus you ll get more action on your strong hands and increase your range).
