lol, so basically youre saying in this hand that you like never get to the river in the first place then?

Like Bukem, I make my decision on the turn against this type of player. Either I believe him or I don't, and if I don't believe him, I'm playing to induce a river bet (and calling it, obviously).

Basically. I actually can't ever think off a time where I've picked off a bluff vs this line, or even called off with a small flush or set have been good.

Trying to say only reason to make the turn call though is because villain makes bad calls on the flop to represent hands that don't make a ton of sense. Only acxc does make sense in this spot, which is why I can't recall picking off bad bluffs in this spot. also really not many hands that want to turn themselves into bluffs. All hands with high clubs will have good showdown value so unlikely they try to push you out, and only really reasonable gutshot got there.

SO... what i'm trying to say is that when trying to call down vs lines that don't make sense, calling turn to fold the river is silly. Fold the turn or snapcall the river. but pause a few seconds on river so they don't feel too dumb.

ok i totally agree with everyone in this thread - hero should not be looking to showdown vs that kind of agression as a standar line

which kinda confuses me after reading about a very similar hand the other day

Thing is your opponent isn't the one I would try to target with this line. Actually there are very few I would try this line with as a bluff, and I do play vs a decent number of competent mid stakes players.

Reason people didn't like your original line wasn't that it wasn't credible, just cause people are bad and don't fold better very often. It would be a very well played acjc.

I'd be calling river if I was calling turn. And it would essentially be a instacall, only I'd pause a bit so I wouldn't' embarrass villain too much. But i'd have a really good read on villain at that point to do those actions, vast majority of the time I'm just folding the turn. And I don't fold hands that strong very often at all.

if i confused anyone, i am actually BB in this hand, and i held 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], turning it into a bluff.
i was Hero in the other post i linked (same hand, different perspective, far different advice).
