For a ton of Genesis reviews check out www.sega-16.com
If you are going to get NBA Jam, get the tournament edition and get it for SNES. Street Fighter 2 is gonna be better on the SNES too. However, the NHL series played far better on the Genny. |

Re: OLDSCHOOL video game collection suggestions?
Here are some of the games I either think or know are the best of these consoles and haven´t been mentioned yet:
NES: Turtles 2 (2-player co-op beat´em up) Pro-am 2 (4-player non-split-screen racing) Mega Man 1+3 (1-player platform) Nintendo World Cup (4-player non-split-screen soccer) SNES: Final Fight 2+3 (2-player co-op beat´em ups) Rival Turf (2-player co-op beat´em up) Super Double Dragon (2-player co-op beat´em up) Zombies Ate My Neighbourhood (2-player co-op strange game) Saturday Night Slam Masters (4-player non-split-screen fighting game) Street Racer (4-player "Mario Kart" racing game) Super Bomberman 3 (4-player non-split-screen strange game) Pitfall (1-player platform) Secret of Mana (1-player the first hours then 3-playerish RPG) Genesis: Streets of Rage 2+3 (2-player co-op beat´em ups) Toejam & Earl (2-player co-op strange game) Gauntlet 4 (4-player co-op strange game) General Chaos (4-player strange game) Road Rash 2+3 (2-player racing games) [ QUOTE ] I'm going to be purchasing these from an ebay store in 1 purchase and get a collection deal, so this is a 1 time purchase and afterwards if i have forgotten about a certain game, it will get very expensive. [/ QUOTE ] I have never bought any games on Ebay, but it seems to me that the games sold by stores at a fixed price (I am talking about Ebay.co.uk here) are overpriced. Are you sure the deal you are getting is good and the amount you save on postage is big enough to make it cheaper to do it that way instead of buy-ing games one at a time by bidding? |

Re: OLDSCHOOL video game collection suggestions?
One thing to bear in mind is that since you have a Wii, you can get many of these on the virtual console, which lets you keep them all in one place and play them all on one system. It's also easier to find them and buy them as opposed to hunting for them in garage sales or whatever. I suppose it's not quite as classic, but there's something to be said for convenience.

[/ QUOTE ] Mega Man Anniversary Collection for GC, PS2 and XBox: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mega_Ma...ary_Collection This can probably be had used for less than $20 at most stores that peddle user games/Ebay. Much better than paying $6 per game if they show up on the Wii console. |
