one of david wright's little brothers hit like 2 HR off of my co-ed softball team this year

and then he came up to the plate and tried to bat lefty when he isnt a switch because he felt bad for us

he swung and missed at two pitches, then switched sides at the plate and hit a double

so yeah, sizemore

haha

Pecota has Wright > Sizemore in terms of projected VORP/MORP over the next five years. Pecota also had Sizemore at 0 FRAA for the next three years and then having negative numbers for the next two. This has to be some sort of mistake, correct?

I still probably take Sizemore.

defensive metrics are all over the place

UZR has Sizemore as a top5 defensive player in baseball, BP has him average to below average

Wright is in the top15 according to UZR and above average according to BP.

Career batting:
.303 .376 .522 Wright
.283 .365 .492 Sizemore

Career Warp1, Warp3

25, 32.2 Wright
19.8, 28.3 Sizemore

They are both awesome, but I don't get all the Sizemore and its not even close sentiment. Sizemore strikes out more, walks about the same amount (slightly less) and has less power.

and plays a much more difficult defensive position phenomenally, where that kind of offensive production is much more scarce.

Yes, but 40 points of OPS is also pretty significant. That is probably about what the difference is between the average CF and the average 3B.
