I prefer the tighter play at the 5/10. 2/4 seems to attract donks with $100 or so who just want to move all in. 1/2 was a nightmare, people just throwing their stacks away on draws and hitting. [/ QUOTE ] When I'm up against donks, let's say I have top pair and there's 2 suited cards on the flop. You'd be better to check and give them a free card, 'cos if you bet the pot, a donk will always call his flush draw. Then you have to bet again on the turn to stop the flush....the donk might think 'hey I only need to hit a spade and I've made the nuts, I already stuck a load of chips in, hell yeeeah let's go for it'. He doesn't figure once the flush comes out, the action will stop and he won't get paid. I saw this at the Bellagio cash games live too. At the 5/10, the players are more savvy and know if they play like this they will lose overall in the long run, so they respect that you are in front on the flop, and fold their flush draws.
