Well what is 1 minus 0.000_inifinite_001?

If 0.999 = 1 then you can take an infinitely minute number away from one and still have one? I'd sya no they are not equal. Not a math whizz or anything, the place where your logic seems flawed to me is 1/3 = 0.333__ because they are not technically equal, in the same way that 0.999__ and 1 arn't.

Except .999 repeated isn't a specific number. Well, it is. It's 1.

That is invalid. You cannot have ANYTHING after infinity. Its infinite, you cannot just add on some numbers at the end, because it has no end.

.9999999999 ---> infinity is the number just below 1.
