And Sub, why are you playing your C game in a bad 30 game? On the flop can you ever be good here when Sublime raises your bet and the wack job 3 bets?

[/ QUOTE ]

just having fun.

Well if you don't mind having some expensive fun at the poker table. If I'm going to do that; I'd rather do it at the Rhino.

meh, i didnt plan on playing more than a rack and deathdonkey was to my right and also 'having fun' (well until we sat down in retrospect ) so i dont think my expected earn was negative by much. i dont mind semi goofing off once every 2-3 months with friends. it usually leads to interesting table discussions.

For those of you advocating a turn c/r, do you think that he is both ahead of the wack job and can get Sublime to fold a better hand enough of the time?

[/ QUOTE ]

It's not just getting Sublime to fold a better hand, it's getting him to fold a hand with 5-6 outs. But yeah, why not? What's more important is that we're ahead of wack job very often and need to raise for value.

Was it Joe, Mike or Chris? All 3 or them kind of fit that description

Justin why are you calling PF? And Sub, why are you playing your C game in a bad 30 game? On the flop can you ever be good here when Sublime raises your bet and the wack job 3 bets?

Barry,

You aren't giving nearly enough credit to any of those three if you think this description fits them. I'd be astounded if the player described was one of them.

I think the preflop call is standard. I think that it's closer to 4-betting the flop than folding. I agree with the group that a turn checkraise is mandatory.

The guy wasn't any of us. The lineup for the game was horrible but was fun and we were there for entertainment and to play hands against one another at semi-meaningful stakes (no one was going to lose a ton in this game).

In your spot I would've checkraised the turn there. Since you didn't I really don't mind a river call, though it's fairly close since you're ahead of that dude a fair amount and Mike won't often overcall anyway.
