Isn't Negreanu lending Brunson 100K for a future promise of Bellagio chips the same as Negreanu taking 100K off the table ("going south" as the Deeb incident in season 1?)

Wow, yeah. That never occurred to me. Technically he is taking chips off the table, I guess.

he asked the table if he could play 100k behind and they said yes i believe. So im guessing if he went all in, the 100k would be added.

good episode. i don't think esfandiari is a bad player, he's just obviously playing over his bankroll. when the table was going to pay a grand each for mike to stay he said he couldn't afford it, and you could see on that hand where he had queens after he rebought he was distressed about possibly going broke twice. he's a good player but the stakes are obviously getting to him, which isn't good. i'm sure UB is backing at least part of him though, they had a commercial on when i watched it.

i don't get how matusow calls 40 grand on the river without even hesitating with top pair and the worst kicker. i guess now i see why everyone wanted to pay for him to stay. and it looks like next week he gets beat up even more from what daniel says. i feel bad for the guy, hes a good player but it seems like he has some problems with knowing when to quit.

i don't see how it's the same as taking chips off the table. he lent the money to brunson, what does it matter how brunson pays him back? that's between him and brunson. i think the only way the casino could have an issue is if they are saying that he couldnt give chips to another player at the table (like in rounders when they are in AC), but otherwise i'm not sure if it's the same as going south. maybe someone could explain.

also, who's the new canadian guy whos playing next week?

From what I could hear, Daniel said something about having 100k behind, so I'm sure he was trying to make it clear to everyone that he wasn't taking chips off the table.

i found it amusing to see Harmen with that glass of beer i wonder if it was just part of a ploy to change her table image or if she really was feeling the booze a little.

Those massages Antonio and Todd received sure were unlucky.

It seems to me people are being a bit results-oriented. If Antonio's bluffs had worked and Jen's hadn't, we'd all be singing a different tune.
