Re: AA w/ Scary Flop
I'm not cpping flop. I don't think we have best hand often nough + we are in position so we can make sure every street is bet. By capping we take the lead and open up for a turn CR, which would be ugly. Rest is fine.

Re: AA w/ Scary Flop
I'd much rather just call the 3-bet.

Flop i would call the 3 bet and not cap it. Broadway boards make alot of two pair hands. Im not folding this but i certainly don't want to flood the pot more than needed as I am extremely vulnerable to alot of draws if your not behind already. [/ QUOTE ] Define weak with all the redraws out there and the possibility that with the preflop action and the board that we are way behind. Do we really like our hand if the board pairs given the action? |

I'm not too big on capping that flop.

Re: AA w/ Scary Flop
grunch
SB appears pretty laggy, and MP1 is providing padding, so I think I am okay with the flop cap. What I fear the most is two pair at this point, but I think villain will let me know on the turn whether I should slow down or not. |

Re: AA w/ Scary Flop
To steal a line from SSP: Wait for the turn to define your hand. Then a raise might be acceptable, given pot equity (Winning chance + straight, 2p, and trips redraws.) If you're ahead, Villain may have 7 outs or less, say, with QT. But if Villain is passive enough to just limp with KQ or, more likely KJ, QJ, then you have 12 outs to win. I don't mind raising the turn, because you have to call a 3-bet, hoping to spike, therefore you know how to react to a raise.

I just call the 3bet on the flop. |
