I turned 29 today and got carded for a rated R movie about 3 weeks ago. I asked for a student ticket, and they asked for ID. No biggie, and I showed him my EMU id. He responded that he needed to see my drivers license. My response was, WTF!?!?!?!?!? Sure, buddy, here you go. He thanked me and gave me my ticket. Again, WTF! It doesn't bother me one way or another, just a little inconvienent at times.

From a different point of view. If it was my job on the line, and the huge fines from the liquor control board, I would be carding a TON of people.

at this point, Im asking if he thought that I faked my student ID, and inquiring if they have problems with people trying to save 3$.

I doubt that he thought my ID was fake, EMU id's are pretty popular. My guess is that he got yelled at and/or was on probation for selling tickets to minors. So he was just being extra extra careful. And I do look younger, than my age. Im sure it didn't help that I had shaved that afternoon and had on a hat to hide my quickly receding hairline. AHHHH WELL, it didn't bother me one way or another. Though my date that evening thought it was pretty funny.

I still get carded at the grocery store I've been going to for 10 years and I'm 36. I used to take it as a compliment but now it just sucks. Hey idiot, are you [censored] blind?

oh, I was thinking you looked somewhat near your age, and there was a rash of fake student IDs going around...that would have been great
