I find that if I play fast music, I click faster. It doesn't really change how I play though... But you have to play music that you don't stop to listen to - it has to merge into the background. Thus, specific types of music work better, or just music you are very familiar with. I don't play music I haven't heard before whilst playing poker.

I play only hip hop while playing.

A hard beat helps keep the concentration, esp. late at night. However, I never use music while playing live, for obvious reasons.

I like peaceful/relaxing music.

I'll listen to Nature Sounds or Japanese music. I'll never listen to these outside of poker, but they work really well for me when I am playing.

[ QUOTE ]
For some reason I seem to do much better when I listen to Jay-Z, everything else affects my play negatively.

[/ QUOTE ]

I read in some poker magazine article that Barry Greenstein listens to Jay-Z. This little nugget stuck in my mind because it just seemed so odd to me.

It takes self-control while playing poker, so I prefer lounge. It is not in the least distracting and even helps me concentrate. No idea if it makes me win or lose, but that's my constant music background)

I listen to music to help relax me and pass the time. I used to listen to radio talk shows, but found that the talking would make me angry inside. It had nothing to do with the topics they were speaking on. It was as if i felt they were being rude for interupting my thoughts.
