[ QUOTE ]
If you want to end terrorism it's simple : stop occupying countries. Terrorism is directly caused by occupation. [/ QUOTE ] What country were we occupying on 9/11? And having some troops in a country does not equal occupation. Osama's primary grievance against the US was the presence of US troops in Saudi Arabia. Those troops were placed in Saudi Arabia at the request of the Saudi government during the first Gulf War. After the first Gulf War ended, the US had about 5,000 troops in military bases in Saudi Arabia. Those troops had almost no interaction with the Saudi population and played no roll in the Saudi government. The presence of those troops in no way amounted to an occupation, but Osama used that as a justification to kill thousands of innocent civilians. The fact is that the Osama and other radical Islamists will attack us no matter what we do. Do you really think that someone who will kill thousands of innocent civilians because of some troops in the middle of the desert can be reasoned with? Of course not. |

Steve do you forget it's America and people can say what they want. Sometimes I post conspiricy theories do you not like me ?????? [/ QUOTE ] First of all, this site is privately owned, so free speech arguments have no relevance here. Moreover, I specifically said that I am opposed to censoring the conspiracy theorists. |

If you want to end terrorism it's simple : stop participating in it and funding it. Columbia, Turkey, Israel, and the US have killed more civilians using terror than Al-Qaeda could ever dream to [/ QUOTE ] FYP |

Do you really think that someone who will kill thousands of innocent civilians because of some troops in the middle of the desert can be reasoned with? Of course not. [/ QUOTE ] supposedly, part of the reason Osama went over the edge was that: 1. Sanctions in Iraq were killing hundreds of thousands of children 2. Us was supporting israel and in 1996 Irael bombed a refugee camp which had zero military value killing more than 100 people Other stuff! As for what countries we were occupying, a better question would be: which countries does the US NOT have troops in? We have troops in more than 50% of the countries in the world, and a military budget bigger than the rest of the UN security counsel combined. |
