Re: Flopped boat OOP against LAG ($5/5)
Could you give a more specific advice on how one can profitably play here if you flop a NFD with no pair or straight draw? Thanks

Re: Flopped boat OOP against LAG ($5/5)
C/c, make hand + hope villain is on lower flush and get paid off, c/c, miss but bluff or turn other draw, c/r if villain c-bets too much, just lead out as a semibluff against certain opponents, c/f against nitty mcbrunson. can we get back to this flop now please?

Re: Flopped boat OOP against LAG ($5/5)
He's tight enough that I think he could definitely fold some of his weak 9s if we check/raise, so I don't like that option much and if he's got anything less, he's absolutely gone.
I like just check/calling the flop and turn and then leading the river. If he's got a 9, he should continue to bet and we should get most of his stack, and if he's got something like AK, we probably get one more bet in on the river. |

Re: Flopped boat OOP against LAG ($5/5)
I think my line here is to lead out on the flop. I think if we c/r him on the flop he'll know the jig is up and won't continue without strong holdings. On this board, I don't think we can count on him 3-barreling us hoping we have some sort of draw, so I'd just out leak on the flop and hope has a peice of it or wants to try something like repping AAA or 9xxx.
I'd lead for $25 hoping to get raised. If he raises, I'd flat call and check any turn to him in hopes of a c/r. If he flat calls the lead then it depends on what fell on the turn; most turns I'd just try to value bet two more streets with 1/2 - 3/4 psb (sometimes I might check tho). If he folds to the flop lead then I suck. |

How can he open for $25? I'd call and try and get another bet out of his bluffs.

Re: Flopped boat OOP against LAG ($5/5)
id check call the flop... check the turn... if he bets.. just call and lead 1/2 pot on the river.... if he check behind.. i'd put in what looks like a small blocker bet and JUST call any re-raise (hoping to get one)

Against someone who seems fond of mindless aggression, I could see a couple different lines here, but I think c/c the flop and turn and either c/c or c/r the river depending on how much is left (and I'm too lazy to do the math) may be best. [/ QUOTE ] I'd go with this |

Re: Flopped boat OOP against LAG ($5/5)
FWIW, I like a 3bet more than a call here PF. But I'm with roggles, I don't like playing draws OOP, and a couple of connecting gappers isn't good enough for me to play passive OOP.
And getitfixed, there is no way I'm advocating a fold PF 92% of the time I post. That's just a silly statement. I just value position in omaha a lot. |
