I think this line looks OK, although I would have just bet pot on flop. Especially if villains seem like calling stations. Basically you want villains to make mistakes by calling without proper odds and you want to make their mistakes as big as possible.

Overbetting flop like $8 would be a mistake by you because you let villains off the hook. Unless they are really bad they aren't going to call that large of a bet. You would have allowed them to play perfectly.
