I think it's a mistake to think it's a coinflip. In STTs people give very little credit to button open-raises. From this you can infer two things 1.) he doesn't have to have a premium hand to re-pop you and 2.) he almost surely doesn't have AA because he thinks you're weak and would want you to call, not fold, if he had AA.
Thus, his range is something like 99-QQ, probably not KK, AK-AT, maybe even KQ. So it's probably either a coin-flip or you have him dominated. Even if he has KK, you're only a 2:1 underdog. You're getting 1.25:1 odds and on average you have 60-65% equity. Call. |

I agree with jschell's reasoning only I'd add a few more PPs to his range. I'm never folding this without a strong read.

Call, people overvalue Ax so much at these buyins. I end up noting "overvalues Ax" on more than half the players at this level.
