S,

If you take them or mail them to a distributor, they'll give you about thirty cents per tab.

$0.35 in my state.

yeah, sometimes it depends on the brand/brewery. obviously small microbreweries (those that actually can beer) don't pay out, or they take FOREVER.

Some places give certs for beer instead of cash, which is fine by me.

Some places have a limit of ten tabs a week or so. Investigate. Obviously you're not gonna buy a $9.99 30 of beast and get more than that back in tabs and can deposit.

I actually already pulled them and did not want to look stupid if they were wothless. I estimate I have over 500. So I guess I just call up a beverage distributor and ask them for details on turning them in? Also this is months worth of partying beer tabs. So I pulled the tabs from many different kinds of beer. Will that matter at all?

S,

"So I pulled the tabs from many different kinds of beer. Will that matter at all?"

Yeah, if you have mixed tabs the average paid per tab will be less. It's usually not a big deal, but if you have some expensive microbrews and stuff mixed in, you'll end up getting far less than market value for the tabs. If it's all similar type normal beer, it will probably make no difference at all unless there are brands not carried by the distributor.
