I've seen Zumanity, and it is way overrated.

If you like Cirque because of all the dancing type of things, then you'd probably enjoy it. But it felt, to me, like I was watching a Cirque with all the actual interesting stuff removed, but with a couple of boobies.

For art, there's always the gallery at Bellagio. It costs money to get in, but it's got quite a collection.

Two summers ago, my wife and niece were quite disappointed by the pricey and weak show at the Bellagio art museum. Maybe it's better now.

At this point no way I'd visit Vegas without renting a car.

Red Rock Canyon = beautiful hikes for all levels of experience, only a 25 min drive (less from Red Rock casino).

Mt. Charleston = Breathtaking alpine landscape, 45 minutes drive from LV, lodge serving scenic lunch on patio amidst pines and wild hummingbirds.

Mohave Desert Preserve = Spectacular, little more than one hours drive from LV (bring at least one gallon of water) link to info

This summer we're planning to visit the Atomic Testing Museum and downtown art galeries. I don't think I'd managed to convince my wife to go to Vegas every year (this is our 9th visit) if it wasn't for the huge spread of nature experiences the area readily offers in addition to all the fun and dining.

The one MUST SEE nature spot is the brand new skywalk at Grand Canyon West. It opens in 2 weeks, its a glass platform which allows you to look down a 4,000 foot drop - Its the highest man-made structure in the world. To put this in perspective, when I went sky diving it was 3,000 feet. Visit Lake Meed, and the Hover Dam at the same time. link - see the video! Its sick!

meh. Height alone doesn't do it for me. I also have to wonder how successful they're going to be with this. They're in an out-of-the-way place and they've got nothing out there now to attract folks away from the National Park Service facilities other than this gimmick. Do they even have a paved road to get there? So I think they have an uphill battle.

Take her for a drink at the Peppermill's Fireside Lounge

The Liberace Museum is a must, it's out on Trop, I think. I got a kick out of the restaurant, but it wasn't amazing. The bar was cool.

If you're there friday (4/6) night, in between strip/downtown they open up a bunch of little galleries and close off the streets. The crowd skewed a bit young, but it was fun. They had a ton of bands playing. I think it was the first friday of every month (someone local confirm that, maybe)

Buffets are actually pretty good for veggies. One of my personal fav's is Alladin because of the mexican and "ethnic" choices

most definetly send her to the spa one day. my life loves the one at mandalay

Since she likes to read, take her to the Gamblers General Store
