I liked Patric's common sense way; the book on Blackjack was a good read. He is not a genius and has no respect here so I haven't read more of his books (since 1995 or so). Will have to look his holdem books some day if he has any (he has at least DVDs but I prefer the books), or just some poker book (would be interesting to see what and how he thinks); they may not give any much more information and some is likely inaccurate (but one can see those) but it will likely be a good read if one is a fan of common sense, even if it would be of some other subject; but it's more interesting from subjects one is familiar with, though a good philosophy etc. book could be interesting. Would be great if he would be a genius too but that's not his contribution to the world.

There are many great names out there, Ken Warren being one of them; one sure should pick some book from him or one will be lacking something.

I really hope this is not a serious post.

zomg totally not! don't you get sick of these threads every day though?

You are right. I would much rather have new posts every day about how bad Helmuth sucks, than have to read annoying posts by those who are new to the game, came here for help, and truly want to learn. Isn't about time you start a thread with a subject line like "10 reasons Helmuth will never be a good player"?
