If you do make the value bet, which looks ok, I would not call a raise.

[/ QUOTE ]

the whole point of is villain checks a strong hand to us on the river close to never, we are usually ahead but he rarely has a strong enough hand to call a big bet, but we can induce a bluff by betting something retarded like 1/4 or 1/3 pot.

[/ QUOTE ]VS. a relatively unknown i bet the river for value, to get weaker J to call, and I bet a little more then 1/2 pot. Now if there was history with this villian I might see that, but I just don't think we know enough about him.

value bet please this is a standard c/r from the BB trying to keep your button play honest. if he raises it's a fold.

this is perfect in theory, yet against an unknown i think if you call here you will not be happy. you've got to at least expect that the guy could pull the trigger. and a ton of people will never c/r bluff here.

JT, TT, A9, K9, 9T are all hands that might consider paying us off because as played they are slightly underrepped and this could induce bluffs from the OP who could be floating with something like KQ drawing with 78 or just making a move using position. It is pretty thin but I dont see many villains c/r and then shutdown with a good hand hoping their opponent will bet.
