The simple answer is - No.
And it has nothing to do with who is President. I would never say to anyone from another country "Oh, I'm sooo embarrassed that XXX is our President." I just don't believe in bashing our President to a bunch of people that aren't citizen's of this country. I'll deal with my own politics thank you very much. On the other hand, I might bash the President amongst other citizen's ad-nauseum and do everything in my power to see that they are not re-elected or removed from office. |

I think it's more like, what, 70% of the country can't stand him now :P
Anyways, I definitly agree; spreading freedom is NOT what this country is about. |

Axis of Evil, Aaron Kader
When you mentioned Bush it reminded me of this imitation from the Axis of Evil show. |

Db, I'm embarrassed. Not because I voted for him. I didn't. I'm embarrassed because I worry that the rest of the world is thinking that Americans are really dumb and that bothers me. [/ QUOTE ] Well GWB is president. So I have to therefore assume he is one of the smartest Americans and that 99% of other americans are dumber than him. Its only logical. |

Yes. On several levels.
That we have someone of his caliber as our president. That we actually elected him to a second term. He reflects poorly on the American people as a whole. He embodies the greatest weaknesses of our political system. |

I might be focussing too much on Bush and Blair, but we do seem to have forsaken democracy for idiocracy.
I shouldn't complain though, I've forsaken voting. It only encourages the buggers. |

I am much more embarassed by the likes of Paris Hilton and the attention paid to her than anything any president could ever do. The idiocy of the American public and the fact that they buy half the crap that comes out of the Hollywood press machine is just cringe-inducing.
