-Put your cash in your socks
-Make sure no one is following you
-Make sure no one is near your car when you go back to it
-Carry a weapon (pepper spray and a knife is a good combo)
-Learn martial arts

Do you live in Los Angeles? Do you play at the casinos? How has your experience been? I'm asking b/c it's unclear to me whether you were present during any of these robberies or were the victim yourself once.

I play occasionally at Commerce and have yet to encounter a dangerous situation. I make sure to either valet or park very close to the entrances: by the valet on the back or the shuttle tent on the side (where usually there are guards or workers sitting and chatting). I have never parked at the edges of the lot. I also don't go straight from the cage to the lot.

I also actually prefer the open lot at Commerce to, for example, a structure that requires stairs or an elevator. I don't like to mix enclosed spaces with potentially unsafe situations.

I haven't played at other L.A. casinos but I don't feel "safer" at Vegas casinos, especially some lots (like MGM's).

It's just never going to be 100% guaranteed to be a perfect experience at a casino and that's why I have to take personal responsibility for my safety and not rely on the casino to protect me.

your friends must be total tards.

seriously 3 times? do these guys just happen to be the 3 luckiest or the 3 dumbest plp on earth?

i have done "the walk" countless times at both commerce and hawaiian with str8 G's in my pocket. ive never had a problem. i have parked far before and done this at 9pm and 9am, 4am and 4pm, and every hour in between.

just dont be stupid and be observant. look around you, look behind you, see if anyones following you, etc. walk with your head up. Dont act like a victim and you wont become a victim.

Uhh snowball not to ruin your reality here but being a ninja and catching .45 with your teeth only works in the movies. If your going to tell ppl to defend themselves against ARMED thugs. I would suggest a concealed .38

Not a spinning back kick

You guys might be getting leveled. OP has the grammar and dictation of a 6th grader.

Nevertheless, of course, watch your surroundings and be aware when leaving a casino.

Carrying a firearm is srsly srsly illegal in CA, so it's not an option for me.
Not everyone that will try to rob you will have a gun. Some of these people will be your opponents at the table that lost a lot. Maybe you said the wrong thing to them and they took it very personally. Maybe they hate you because you're the wrong race, and you took their rent money. Notice in that situation, handing over your wallet just isn't an option. All they want to do is hurt you.

Also, carrying a gun is a fairly poor defense against someone else who is armed with a gun. They aren't going to give you time to pull your weapon. If your assailant flashes his piece, and screams "hand over your money" and he sees a gun in your beltline at any point, he might lose control and shoot you.

all: Watch the movie California Split to see what its like when you put your opponent on life tilt and he attacks you in the parking lot as you leave the card room.
