Pats have a 0% chance, because if they get homefield Billy B won't play his players.

Yeah, this is a pretty ridiculous argument. It's totally different when your team is 15-2 and has home field locked up. But no coach in the history of the NFL would sit players with a chance at being the first to lead his team to an undefeated 16-game-long season.

It looks like there's an awful lot of people out there certain the Pats won't make it but unwilling to put up money until they lose.

what are you offering

It's some non-zero chance, but it's pretty small.

Maybe something like 50-1.

Can't this just be figured out mathematically? Somebody with good NFL line-setting knowledge should be able to do this easily.

You need to include three playoff games too. But, that simplified version gets the point across.

Interesting. What do you think of Dallas chances, since they have a weaker schedule?

Hmm, I'd like to offer 3:2 odds on the Cowboys over the Pats if anyone's interested. I definitely think they win more than 50% of the time.

Anyone who said 0% is moron. How many times do really rare things in sports have to happen before you realize how dumb it is to think something is still impossible to happen.
