There's plenty of ways to get CR vids for free or whatever, just like there's ways to get literally any digital media free.

They charge basically nothing compared to what even small improvements in your game can make you. There's no reason to be a douche and stiff them.

There's also no reason to be a douche and stiff anyone else that creates music, movies, television etc. but many people do it all the time and don't think twice about it.

if (account.ipLog.uniqueEntries > X) then suspend(account);

Long term that method would end up costing you more in customer support for legitimate customers (with changing IPs) than the money you lose to people sharing an account.

A slightly better method is to use database sessions + IP address but that only prevents two people on the same account from accessing the site at the same time. If enough violations occur then you know account sharing is going on. How it works is when you log in a database session is started with your current IP address and a timeout of say 20-60 minutes (since you're watching videos...). Each time you view a page on the site your timer is reset to 20-60. If that username then tries logging in from a different IP before the timer has expired the system doesn't authorize them (even though authentication passed). The only time you'd run into trouble is if you're watching a video and your ISP drops you and assigns you a new IP immediately. However you could get around this too by setting an encrypted cookie in their browser on each page view. So their browser would still have the cookie from when they were watching video X and it would match the cookie in that usernames previous session record in the database.

I think you guys are overlooking that IP addresses can also be looked up to find the general location of where they are physically located. I think a lot of dial-up (lol) services change your IP whenever you reconnect, but most broadband is almost "static". So there aren't going to be many accounts with a lot of unique entries.

Also I'm sure it's not very automated at all. I'm sure their servers simply report to the administrator whenever there's "suspicious activity" going on.

Yeah, I had it for over two years before I switched to FiOS. My IP rarely changed... maybe once every 2-3 weeks at MOST.

25 bucks a month is pitifully cheap, especially since you could sign up for 1 month and get all the videos, then come back a few months later and get the vids they put up since then. It's like porn basically, yeah, it's easy to find on youtube/bt/whatever, but I'd rather just pay one month and fill my hard drive with great vids and then not worry about looking for more the next time I want to beat off.
PokerXfactor is a joke though.
