Basically I just made all the files 1 pixel, and made all the pixels black. Also fixed the rakebox. Adde had minimized the files, but the pixels were different colors, so you could still see them moving back and forth. With a black table mod, you shouldn't be able to see the slider or the brown rakebox now.

Take the files and copy them + put them in your party images folder, and you're good to go.

In another thread here (quoted below), a poster says that the slider, if not pinned, seems to eat CPU capacity. Does your fix pin the slider? Has anyone checked the resource use with and without this fix? Thanks.

Party (with Monster tables open) now takes 94% of the CPU on my 2 GHz system; Party used to take around 30% of the CPU.

If you pin the slider it seems to fix it. It seems like the idiots actually coded the sliding pixels in a busy loop or something like that.

I also noticed that when the CPU is fully used the slider actually slows down its movement, which does seem to indicate it's not a time-based slide but rather just a for loop where they move it one pixel each time.

Thanks.

All, I just discovered something very critical. I was playing around with your files, AJ, and I found that if you do NOT copy table_prize_pin_tacked.jpg and table_prize_pin.jpg then the image will be the color of your bankground (any bankground btw) and the little tack will still 1/2 show up over the bottom right so you can click it. This way, you can free up your CPU by not having that slider going back and forth, and also not have to loo at it, which frees up your CPU more because you don't have the numbers rolling up.

I tried this it seems to work.. thanks

This was my email to party

" Dear Rachel,

Thank you for your prompt and kind reply.

I sure can stop those annoying counters from pumping in and out like
manical sex addicts, but unfortunately I can't stop crazy numbers from
blurring by on every table! Please pay your techs a few more dollars
to add a simple option in the menu to disable the
humper-pumper-spin-o-rama-gamble-harder-boxes. (it can't take more
than 10 minutes to do this! are your programmers paid by the hour??)
You guys print money, make it happen!"

edit: err second email lol

ok, one problem...

how to extract the RAR?! Googling gives several options but I don't know which one(s) to actually trust!

I'm running a regular new Windows machine that's had no problem with regular right-click-extract-archived-files up til now. So RAR is apparently different than standard zipping?

Put the files in C:\Program Files\PartyGaming\PartyPoker\images

I would take the advice from a couple replies up and remove table_prize_pin_tacked.jpg and table_prize_pin.jpg (from AJ's Download) so you can pin the slider box so it dosent eat up all your system rescources.

Everything is working great for me.. this [censored] is good luck or somthing.

These look like full-featured programs that are free for the first 40 days. There's nothing standard that's just a free unextracter for life?
