Playing live, my thoughts are that you would need to be playing 5/10 and be really bashing your opponents, but more than likely 10/20. I don't have much live experience though.
As for doing it online, yeah, either 8-table 100 NL or 4-table 200 NL from what everyone has always told me, though site choice is critical in this instance as doing this on Full Tilt might get you nowhere near your goal, while doing so on Party would get you there and then some. |

Id have to imagine you could do it if your the best player in a deep live 5/10nl game, not exactly easy if you ask me though. I guess the consensus is 1/2nl online as you can easily play this game with a $10k bankroll, youd probably have to be European though seeing as FT and PS arent very juicy.

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] $100/200NL ???? [/ QUOTE ] lol, no no, $1.00/2.00 nl....300max buyin....when the poker room is full, that game is gravy....if you are a good player and sit for 6 hours or so, its not uncommon to leave +$600 fairly consistently.... [/ QUOTE ] Not "uncommon" and a "winrate" are two pretty different ideas. 50BB /hour seems a little over the top. I'd love to believe, but .......... In any event, there is no easy way to make $100 hr. Easiest way (based on other people's statements) appears to be multitabling mid range NL games (200ish), which is precisely why I'm feverishly trying to learn NL. Live, although the players are way softer, it seems like the blinds would need to be a lot bigger than 1/2 to get $100/hr as a possibility, and of course that will bring much more serious opponents as well. [/ QUOTE ] 400 hands/hr at 7 PTBB/100=28PTBB/100>$100/hr. How can you play 400 hands per hour? 4-tables at UB or 5 tables at most other sites will get you 400 hands per hour. Lucky |

7bb/100 at 1/2 means your probably the best player at every table you sit, not an easy feat.

I think online is the way to go and multitabling (not more than 4 unless you have some serious practice with 5+ tables) at 2/4 NLHE. You can also play some other game in which the competition is weaker, example PLO8 or Razz. |

i think you can make 100 hour playing the 2/4 NLH in LasVegas. especially on a saturday night with all the tourist newbies out to have a good time more then to make a living off of poker. But you may have to play LAG if TAG isnt getting you much.

You need opponents who fold too much to play LAG, tourists don't sound like folders. |

Playing 1/2 NLH 5 tables full ring on ongame network makes me about $85/95 an hour which is just short. If you can play even2 tables of 1/2 and 2 tables of 2/4 it should be quite easy
