good2cu,

my reasoning in hand1 is that i was playing too many tables and didnt notice the board was paired. it's a pretty terrible spot and he clearly just had air since he folded

1) lol at the c/r. just call. Flop float is alright. You should definitely be able to make him drop Ax/Kx and likely pairs lower than J, with the right action.

I'd probably lead the turn too, it looks more like a float that way

2) Bet fold like $400 looks pretty good. I'd consider bluff shoving the river if just called, if he's a strong player. His pot odds will be good, but it looks like you're putting him on the installment plan.

3) I'd fold this real fast

4) Are you raising for free showdown or what? I really don't like any street of this hand.

i actually did it for a month and wrote a paper on it in one of my classes. i like playing deep stacked much better but i do it a lot now because

1. I dont have the online roll to comfortably play 10/20 buying in full. I'm not good enough right now anyway so my deep stack and short win rates are probably equally small

2. The games just plain suck sometimes. Sometimes i play in them to get better anyway but sometimes I actually do need to make money and grinding 2/4 instead makes me want to rip my eyeballs out

3. Even though you only win like 1.5 bb/100 i'm a machine so i can 14 table and play donkaments at the same time so my hourly ends up matching what i'd do 6 tabling decent 1k games

yes, i do feel incredibly gay when i do it

Jay, you wouldn't bet/fold AJ against an unknown there?

[/ QUOTE ]

I wouldn't fold it. I'm more expecting a draw that thinks the seven is a scare card rather than 78s 79s, that's only 4 combintations of legit hands. The only type of unknown i'd fold this to is the one tabling guy who doesn't top up his stack when he loses a pot.

Although, if he doesn't shove, which i think most wont, you have 3 - 6 outs, 9 strong bluff cards, maybe another 3 jacks, and maybe 6 offsuit tens and fives. So you're still taking the pot away from him a lot of the times this bluff goes wrong.
