@unterfish: sorry, I just realized it's not a common one (im new here); FL= fixed limit / limit

I see your point (I thought maybe my English is wrong), and agree, limit has definitely higher vairiance than NL, i just wanted to emphasize:
1. for an aspiring beginner I would advice to begin with limit holdem, and
2. I dont share the common thought that you can make more $/100 with NL than limit (see before)

third, I also suck at NL, or maybe I just don't have the motivation to try it again [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

a) Bad English is in. Didnt you know?
b) I guess to start with limit is better, yes, because you have to learn the basic calculations and are not so misguided by TV poker.
c) There was an interesting post on the NL forum showing that NL has a much higher ROI (yet another abbr. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] ) .
