If you raised enough to steal with an M of 4-5, you prob only have an M of 3 or so now in a pot size around an M of 4. Even without a bet of 1/2 pot, you're committed, so making a continuation will always leave you committed. Unless you have a very solid hand, you should feel silly not just pushing pf.

How is this thread so long?? This is a really easy push.

You could turn your cards face up here and push, and this would still be profitable. I'd be pushing any Ace, any king, any pair and any two reasonable high cards down to 910 here...

Also, lol at a normal raise planning to fold to a push, this would be 100% retarded as his pushing range would inlcude a hell of a lot more hands that 77+

Oh, and lol at thinking about post flop play with these stacks.

I mentioned hypothetically about making a smaller steal raise with trash and folding to a raise given the tight nature of the table and my favorable Q.

That would not be good either, because even with trash you probably have enough equity to call a push against his re-raising range, so its better to be pushing a real wide range here and folding the absolute trash

... wow.

dark_horse, I suggest you lurk more and read more strategy. Not only is this an instant-shove, this is a fist pump, do a lap around the house, shove.

I'd shove this UTG all day long and be happy about it.

Could you explain what is silly about the payouts? It looks very much like a lot of them I have seen. What am I missing here?
