shoving here is also bad at a full table. only marginally bad, but bad.

if you are going to play the hand at all this is how to play it. I wouldn't though.

To clarify your saying standard raising is a better way to play it than pushing? It'd be cool if you'd explain that since I definitely disagree if that is indeed what you are saying.

meh. push/fold preflop.

Edit: Like how you played it though, OP, wondering how much of the bigstack tilty factor widened your assessment of his range enough to induce this shove. That I'd notice.

The tilt factor made the decision much easier. Villain had 800k when I got to the table a few orbits before. He had lost the AK < AJ hand and had raised 3 times already this orbit. He got called by short stack on one of the raises and showed down a small PP. I also had seen him re-raise from the blinds and take down pots. I figured I was a flip to a small PP and 60/40 to Ax. Not to be results oriented, but he had A2o. I flopped a Queen and took down the hand putting me about 14th in chips.

I think that I got the math right on the 2.75:1. The hand history said that I called 185,230 to win 508,460.

You're counting your call in with what you're going to win, thats where the error is.

yep.. you're right.

Also, I agree with everyone saying this is a push/fold hand. Somehow, I didn't really realize that I was so low. This just turns into one of those hands that we have problems with between 12-15BB.

equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 33.2029 % 32.85% 00.35% { KQo }
Hand 2: 66.7971 % 66.44% 00.35% { 88+, ATs+, AJo+ }

1.75:1 is more accurate, I think, but it's still enough against the above range.

actually I'm not. raise/calling is much better than pushing. but folding is best anyway so here it doesn't much matter.
