Hmmm, I'd love a chance to be the opening line again. Personally, I think Borat is going to pull $28-30m this weekend.

Contrary to what I said before, I like the over $31.5m at +152. While I do think it will be around $30m, +152 is enough to make me bet the over. This movie already surprised people when it was in relatively few theaters. With all the word of mouth and huge expansion in theaters, I think $30m may be a low-end estimate of next weekend's gross.

I bet on smacking you up side the head with my [censored].

It has already been paid out as a winner on Pinny, still waiting for Sportsbook to pay it out.

People seem to be on the under so far (around -150) and the two predictions I've read are in the 24-27 mil range. I would hate to get burned by this again but feel like some revenge is needed I liked Brendan's reasoning using F 9/11 as an example. Domer is on the over again though... Any new thoughts?

No new thoughts really; The Hollywood Reporter is expecting in the 30s and I'm in agreement with their tracking. I think this winds up 28-36, with more possible. Therefore 31.5 at plus odds is a great play.

Anecdotally, I've been told by so many people that this movie was hilarious...even once by my 45-year old female coworker. I have to think that awareness is way up in non-urban centers (original concern of Fox). Can't remember the last time a movie was brought up this much as a recommendation. The Matrix maybe? Anyway, I wouldn't be making real money bets based on stories or what friends have told me, but I think it directly relates to the "awareness" and its ability to hold for this weekend. I think we could see a 35% drop in theaters where its already out, and a 9k PTA at the rest of them. That'd be a 33m and that looks realistic to me.

Well since Borat is a huge dont know, I made just a very little play on the over .

Over 31.5 $50 to win $80

I also have plays on Return under $7 Mill and over $6 Mill at really bad odds but I screwed myself there. So come on middle.

Babel O $9.5 also at bad odds.

Stranger under $14.5 to win around $150.

And a nice positive middle on Good Year between $10 and $8.5.

So as long as Return doesn't come in under $6 I can be looking at a solid weekend.
