Re: QQ overpair, 3-flush made on turn - How did I play it?
Okay then its bet turn, if called 1/2 pot river, with the intention of giving up if he raises you at any point.

Re: QQ overpair, 3-flush made on turn - How did I play it?
[ QUOTE ]
If his river AF is very high, then why isnt he capable of betting with worse on the end? [/ QUOTE ] Even with a high af his aggression is likely going to be somewhat polarized. Given how passively villain plays the flop and turn it is likely he has a marginal pair. Given this his calling range is going to be greater than his betting range on the river. |

Re: QQ overpair, 3-flush made on turn - How did I play it?
Makes sense, thanks for input. So the river bet is sort of like a blocking bet?
Hand Results: Villain shows A9 of Spades Looks as if he was trying to float me. Had I bet the turn I might have taken the pot down there, but I did take a risk checking the turn which ended up paying me off, though I know I won't be ahead here most of the time. Though I was right that I assumed villain thought I had nothing (My C-bet% is almost 100) |
