#2 -- I cap with my TTs if I think the guy is raising light and the Russian's three-bet might be light because he's trying to isolate the fish. I know the standard play is to fold but it's tough to lay it down in some of these games where the three-bet can mean less hand than it does at lower stakes. Sigh. I'll go back into my cave now.

His lead could easily be a middling pair, which he's probably calling down with, hoping his 77 beats your 66. The 3 is only a bad card if he has a straight or flush draw, in which case it doesn't matter what you do. Checking to let him get there probably doesn't win any extra unless he has an Ace and it pairs. |
