This doesn't really look like a boat to me. AA is going to reraise preflop a lot and 22 and 44 will be folding preflop if you're against a reasonably tight player. At least a lot of combinations of those will be folding. Add in that you have one of the 8s to make 8s full unlikely, and I think it's a definite call.

There are a lot of times you can fold a straight on the river when an unknown leads into you, but on this particular board, there are enough mitigating factors to make it a call. Still not a terrible fold though. Don't beat yourself up about it.

this is a real quandry until you look at his tracker stats - hes running 69/10/1.64 over 150odd hands, which dosent tell us a great deal, but his agression factor broken down is:

flop: 0.95
Turn: 1.62
River:6.33

im calling this all day long and if hes floating like this alot more fool him for showing

The entire site doesn't work on your computer? Let me know what specific problems you're having and I'll see if I can work on them (or get Chris to fix them), but I haven't had any problems with the hand converter reported to us in quite a while. What browser do you use?

thanks,
Rob

I'm an Omaha newbie, but one thing that stands out to me on this hand is that on the turn, there are a metric F-ton of scare cards that will fall on the river and beat your straight.

There are potentially 8 spades, 9 hearts, 2 each A,4,2,8, and 2 each 6 and 7 (higher straights). Thats 29 out of the remaining 40 cards that will beat your hand.

The only realistic full house he can have is with a set on the flop, since there is only one 8 left in the deck (you have one) and the eights came back door and he would have had to call the flop bet with just 1 pair. I doubt he would call down PSB on the flop and turn with anything less than top set, and he didnt reraise preflop.

Given the knowledge that the river will almost certainly bring a scare card, the unlikeliness of a full house, and his river aggression factor, I would have to call this.
