Re: PS11: Flop quads... how to extract value?!
I would either fold or maybe i would go all in preflop - saying this game was played tight as limit poker then i tend do push with 12 bb left - no one else ?

Re: PS11: Flop quads... how to extract value?!
I like betting the flop here. Some donk will chase overcards, and maybe someone will give you a lot of action with small overpair like 88.

Def don't shove here pre-flop. Anyone who thinks this is a +EV shove, do yourself a favor and invest in some ICM tools (see the stickies).

minibetting the flop screams "I have got a 6 please call me".
I check the flop and hope somebody hits/makes a move. |

Re: PS11: Flop quads... how to extract value?!
As played, pot the ace on the turn. If no one has one, your action is done anyway. Best chance of getting paid here is if someone catches up or thinks you're FOS, and this turn card is the card to try it.

Re: PS11: Flop quads... how to extract value?!
I don't mind checking the flop since it's pretty hard for someone to have a piece of it with you having quads.
Once the ace comes on the turn it's time to start building a pot and just hope for the best. I probably be like 1/2 pot. It's hard to extract value with quads a lot of the time though, not much you can do. |
