I was thinking it would be helpful if there was a consensus among you pros out there as to which of the sample hands are definitely wrong, in your combined opinion, as far as his answer is concerned. (Not his reasoning.) I'm not talking about debatable answers or those which "it depends". I'm talking about the ones where you would all agree his answer is incorrect. Preliminary reviews make me think there a few such questions. I, and I'm sure Mason and Colin, would like to know which ones they are.

[/ QUOTE ]

The answer doesn't matter. The reasoning matters. And, with occasional exceptions, the reasoning appears to be deeply flawed.

Thanks for playing.

For now, I just want to see a list from several good players and then cull that down to those where almost all agree the answer is wrong. (I'd expect that to be five or fewere.) Discussion of individual problems are for other threads. This thread is soley to develop that list.

david. most very good players havent purchased the book. they may or may not be in the future, but probably not. perhaps this thread should wait a few weeks/months until more sng players have purchased it? otherwise you probably wont get what you are looking for.

what he is looking for is clearly worth a few copies. If he really want's this info (expert advice/analysis) he should send the top pro's free copies and kindly ask for their input. Truth is, I find it increadable they didnt do this before publishing as part of the proofreading/editing process.

Discuss that elsewhere. For now I just want a list of wrong answers.

If he's getting the right answer with the wrong reasoning that's worse imo.

I dont know what book your talking about but if you really want this done well why not get 5 STT pros from this forum and pay them some amount of money and send them copies of the books. Im sure you could find people to do this (not me) and you'll get better results then trying to get everyone on here to edit your books for free.

Slim, why don't you post each hand you have a problem with - that you think could be a candidate - in it's own thread. And we'll get as many respected SNGers as we can to weigh in.
