I fact, the rules of the tournament state that there would be 100 players advancing to the 2nd round. They don't say anything about the number of players at the first round tables except that their might be 11 players. Making the first round 6-handed was the only way not to break the rules assuming there were actually only 600 people signed up.

[/ QUOTE ]

Exactly. I think I would like 10-6-10 a little better, but the difference between that and 6-10-10 and 10-10-6 is miniscule.

I can't disagree with a single point he's made in his complaints, but really.... suck it up.

[/ QUOTE ]
Yes maybe he should suck it up, after all he only paid a measly 2 thousand + something dollars to enter that tourney

[/ QUOTE ]

So did everybody else playing in the tournament, and they didn't act like jackasses. He got what he deserved.

10-6-10 would make more sense since 10% of the field gets paid.

Right--it's approximately what they used last year with the Limit Hold'em shooutout (10-5-9). I guess Harrah's wanted to pay more people this year.

Just an addendum: The tournament was played out exactly as advertised. They state 100 ppl make day 2, and the only way to have that happen with 600 entrants is to have 100 6 person tables. No where do they state there will be full tables.

But even so, if he's +EV over the field, get over yourself. You could get worked up over every minor travesty that happens in your life, or you can roll with the punches.

[/ QUOTE ]

Either way, you think escorting people out is a good option? Noone should be able to express what they feel about a product they payed alot for? I guess Dave on LATB is right about Harrahs. The things that happened this year man.... LOL whats next?

WSOP will never be the same again... *sigh*

10-10-6 is by FAR the best format for a pro. The deeper the tournament goes the more short handed you want it to be, since most of the players remaining will be of higher caliber skill.

If you go 6-10-10, the final 2 tables are going to contain a lot stronger opponents on average, so I can see why he'd be angry about the format.

Oh I think that the floor should have little to no right to assess a penalty, or should only give one in EXTREME circumstances. It's a service industry, they should treat tournament players as if they were customers in a restaurant.

WTF people, the guy stood up and started yelling that he wasn't playing and demanded a refund.

What are they supposed to do except give him a penalty to give him time to cool down, and get him out of the room so play can continue?

Get a grip, the guy was being an a-hole and got what he deserved.
