Why would anyone (who has rakeback) use FTP points?

[/ QUOTE ]

Um how about for every $2 you send me, I will send you back one. Do you see why?

Sony Handycam
100,000 points * .005 = $500 lost in RB

Panasonic 42' Plasama TV

Hows my math?

Also, isn't cash in hand better than a non-returnable item?

All wrong. You didn't factor in that we only get 27% rakeback, not 100%.

Don't you mean lost MGR and not lost RB?

Does this matter? For every 1 full tilt point I spend, $.005 is deducted from the amount of RB I receive (regardless of the % im getting). So if I spend 200 FTPoints, I get $1 less than what I would normally get at the end of the month.

Maybe I am misunderstanding how the system works, but im almsost positive this is how it was explained to me.

i'm pretty sure that deduction is from your MGR, a percentage of which you get back in the form of RB; so if you spend 200 points you get (rb%)*$1.00 less then you normally would.

Your math is real dumb. multiply each of those numbers that you got by 0.27 to get the actual value of rakeback (cash that you end up getting, not MGR) lost by purchasing the items.
