Teams don't usually fire good coaches and hire bad ones. They usually fire bad coaches and then hire a different bad coach.
The problem is that there are 32 teams, but only like half a dozen good coaches and another half a dozen decent coaches. |

The Chargers situation is on the owner right? I think he originally decided to keep Marty Schottenheimer after the loss but then ultimately decided to fire him, even tho all decent potential replacements had been hired by other teams.
