Anyone else ever raise to 52/call a shove?

I find myself doing that a lot because the FE vs 1-pair hands is sick.

[/ QUOTE ]

IMO, no. I think were behind so just call. I have done what you have suggested in the past and lost many of a hands when my 12+ out draws dont hit. But I am open to hear other's suggestions/stories.

I don't think there are too many 1pr hands in his range (speculation based purely on his stats and the way ABS games played last I was there).

I'm talking about raise/calling to 52 in general in spots like this, not necessarily this specific spot.

No, of course I wouldn't expect him to shove any 1-pair hands.

His range would be sets/bottom two/fd+oesd/fd+gutshot/fd, in that order of frequency.

But we have really good equity vs that range and his flop c/r range is sooooooooooo much wider than his 4-bet shoving range.

might be minuscule, but he can't have 45dd, A4dd or 56dd here.

I think calling is by far the best option.

1. if I he has a lower FD I want to hit so I can stack him. Also my ace high will win if we miss.

2. if he's playing a big hand like a set this way I don't want to reopen the betting this deep and let him take me off my hand or maximize

3. if he has a weak one pair hand I can likely take it away later anyway

use your position and call. see what hits on the turn.... and re-evaluate.

If this is a remotely reasonable range then shoving can't be too bad (not sure if he'd shove the Kxdd hands 200bb deep but w/e). I still like calling this deep, but definitely prefer a shove 100bb deep now.
Hand 0: 44.711% 44.71% 00.00% 6197 0.00 { Ad5d }
Hand 1: 55.289% 55.29% 00.00% 7663 0.00 { TT, 44-33, KdQd, KdJd, 7d6d, 43s }

yea villian's semi-bluffing range is limited severly by our holding. really he can only have 76dd. i think bet/call to 52 would be +EV because even if we're against a set we still have 33% equity and we'd be getting 1/9:1 and we're taking the pot when he has 1-pair which is a decent amount of the time. I think its more +EV to just call tho.
