Does anyone know if Platinum Plus in Memphis is opened up again??? I would love to make a trip to my second favorite place in the world?

Thanks.

No, Platinum Plus is closed, and will remain closed, it's history now. The best places left in Memphis are Babe's showclub and Pure Passion. If you are going to be in Memphis anyway you should check out the poker at Southland Racing in West Memphis. They have the great pokertek type tables with more hands per hour, no dealer errors and no tipping required, I'll be glad when all places git rid of the old fashioned dealers.

They have them too on the main floor at some of the Tunica casinos.

I'm sorry, I can't help it but I DO LIKE the electronic poker tables. I am sorry if some dealers may eventually have to switch to a different job, but alot of people have to change jobs because of technology changes. I know alot of poker dealers post here and they would naturally be against something that would put them out of a job, but like they said recently on the cardplayer videos from the wsop they really are the best way to go and will be the way of the near future.

The poker you will find at Southland is not anywhere near the volume of games you will find in Tunica, of course. But if you are going to Memphis and have some free time you might want to check it out just for shitz and gigles if nothing else. But Lord help me, I do love electronic poker tables.

Yes it is so sad that the great PP is gone. It was literally one of the best gentlemans clubs in the country. In case you haven't heard, it was basicly closed for the drug dealing going on. The person who owned it also owned a gentlmans club right on the outskirts of the Tunica casinos that was also shut down after it was open for less than a year I believe.

Yes, the CabEret (misspelling is theirs) was the same owner.

We laughed every time we passed it.

The big letters on top of the building spelled 'CABERET' but all the billboards directing you to it were for the correctly spelled 'CABARET'.

We would laugh at the idea of them ordering these big neon letters to put on top of the building yet spelling THEIR OWN NAME wrong.

If you haven't been, you MUST go to Rendezvous in Memphis for the best ribs on the planet. My buddy from Memphis always bragged about Rendezvous and I kinda blew him off because he once said that Memphis had great seafood, but damn was he right.

The next time I go to Knoxville to catch a UT game, I might have to drive the 400 miles just for the ribs. You won't be sorry.
