Well, the three interceptions make it look a little worse.

Only one was a bad pass. The other two Harrison [censored] up. Throwing 38 times and having only 8 incompletions and having three of those picked off is tough luck. It was a decent game. You should know this "Playoff Peyton" stuff is mindless psych bull [censored] anway.

I basically agree with you re: Peyton/clutch, I'm just pointing it out.

Zero Touchdowns in the first half
2 picks

Also, they were on the field the entire first half and they were facing the 18th ranked pass defense. There is no other way to look at his first half performance as anything but putrid. In the second half he was mediocre versus a very tired defense.

If he plays the same way against the #1 defense on the road next weekend he can expect his usual early trip to the offseason.

Not to sound like a square, but doesn't it make a little sense that Indy let up during the regular season after failing to come through with good seeds so many times in the past. Remember, they did start out the year 9-0. I'd actually expect them to perform better in the postseason than the regular season despite all this "playoff Peyton" stuff we hear about. I was expecting this line to open around PK and at +4, I think the Colts are the play.

Seriously? I guess I was off too, but pk would indicate that the books viewed the Ravens as being almost identical to the Chiefs. That can't be right. This is one of the most surprising things you've ever posted.

This is way out of touch with reality.

The NFL's kind of a secondary sport for me as during football season, I spend about 90% of my energy on the NCAA. I just thought that after the performance by Indy today completely shutting down the KC rushing game, it would be shaded toward their side if anything, and I thought a fair line would be more like Ravens -1.5. Again, I might come off as a square here, but I really think Indy's got another gear that they weren't showing during the regular season and is now playing more like the Colts team that started out the year undefeated.

This is a concept I borrowed from the NBA as usually when a team gets the 1 seed one year and fails to get a ring, they tend to underperform their potential during the regular season the following year since they feel that it's meaningless compared to the playoffs. Not sure if it applies to the NFL since there are fewer games and a bye in place, but if it applies to anyone, it would apply to Indy with their long history of doing well in the regular season, and the fact that their losses came toward the end of the year in road games, the situation where they'd be the least motivated.

You are saying that Colts would be favored on a neutral field. That is the main error.
