NT,

FWIW, I think the making your bed thread could have turned into a good thread, but whatever, you should lock whatever you want. Sometimes it might not be the right move, but it's no big deal. If someone wants to discuss the topic they can put up a better OP or can ask you to reconsider and unlock. People expect far too much and are way too hypersensitive about all this stuff.

[/ QUOTE ]

i think this might be useful to go in the sticky - it's not forbidden to make a better OP if your first one gets locked. we almost never lock a thread because just for being inappropriate for OOT - if it's got potential it gets moved to the right forum. it gets locked for sucking, and is often something that could be fine.

diablo, i know you are friends with beetz... i was like wtf is up with his posting? it seemed like he was just trying to start a bunch of crappy OPs for a while there, i was wondering if he was screwing around or something

NT,

I think sometimes you are a little heavy on the lock button, but do a good job, one that I wouldnt want. I will say at times it seems like you are trying to be like [censored] without actually being [censored], and just not quite getting it right.

So you're saying [censored] is to Vic Mackey as NT! is to Shane Vendrell. Fascinating theory...

(Only Dids will get this, I fear).

As far as I'm concerned, NT! rules for not locking my Coen Brothers thread just because I don't like The Big Lebowski.

yeah i have no idea

but it's just a coincidence that [censored] and i are two of the meaner mods in memory, and happen to have come successively... i am a pretty candid and dry person, and not the most diplomatic in some circumstances. my moderation fits my personality pretty accurately
