Re: O8 World Champ. Of Online Poker (pokerstars)
[ QUOTE ]
last year the play got pretty decent once things got deep, but the first 6-7 hours of the tourney the play was pretty bad yeah. [/ QUOTE ] in comparison, I final tabled the WCOOP 7 card stud event last year, i pretty much suck at 7 card stud yet the field was so soft that i was one of the best players. for example, at the final table, big stacks were isolation 3-betting shortstacks with QJ8r ??? I actually scolded one of the big stacks, and Lee Jones who was doing live commentary warned me not to talk strategy during play, lol. |

The more I think about this, the more I can't wait. Long blind levels, very good prize pool, horrible competition...bring it on!!

[/ QUOTE ] it's fun with so many donks in there. also, knowing that all that the PokerStars pros like Raymer, Brenes, and Negreanu will be playing add to the excitement. if anyone wants to propose small last-longer bets, send me a PM. |

Re: O8 World Champ. Of Online Poker (pokerstars)
I'm pretty sure I'm playing the limit one (like 75% sure) depending on how much classwork I have on my plate.
I'm still 50/50 on the PL one. |

Re: O8 World Champ. Of Online Poker (pokerstars)
This should be obvious, but just a warning to those playing the $530 limit, it took like 6 hours to get to the money and I think I went out after around 8-9 hours, be prepared for a long haul.
Also, pure speculation, I think this year's field is going to be smaller, for numerous reasons, anyone else care to speculate? |

Re: O8 World Champ. Of Online Poker (pokerstars)
Considering that I can't seem to FT the 1.10 LO8 tournament and my showing in the $58 sat I played, I'll be better off watching from the sidelines. Good luck to davebreal and everybody else from the O/8 forum that participates. It would be nice to see an O/8 specialist take down today's event.

[/ QUOTE ] I dont know if such a thing exists in LO8 MTTs. Blinds get high -> variance kicks in. I think the edge, if any, in tournaments is in NL or PL form. Limit is basically where poker goes to die. Embrace the luckboxing |

He was able to translate his experience into a huge win... of course he was probably trained by Gameover |
