welcome back tilt. IBTL is "In Before The Lock" and writing it in a NL or other such terrible thread before it gets locked is the latest game that is played. NL threads are currently being locked because we got sick n tired of moving them.

i have heard that .5/1 is kinduva "dead limit" on FTP - the fish without money play .25/.5 and the fish who ran hot at first are at 1/2 - .5/1 is mainly multitabling rakeback grinders. not that those people can't be beat, but it might be worth your time to just play the quarter until you have like 200 and then go to 1/2 if you're fine playing with 100 bets

please cover whether i can still openraise ATo utg.
i'm also partial to QJo, so whats the deal with that one?

[/ QUOTE ]

I fold these and KJo UTG although that's partially because I took 4 months off and came back at like 1/10th the stakes I used to play.

That's new. 1/2 was the rock garden when I was at FTP.

Being a doctor is pretty awesome. I'm still looking for a more permanant job but at the moment I'm doing a post-doc for the summer and teaching a college chemistry course. The research I'm doing is pretty awesome though... a lot of NASA related projects... one of which involves experimentally simulating a breathing head within a space suit helmet. We have a mannican head we cut in half, put an esophagus and breathing tube in, and now have successfully breathing. It's so awesome. That's only one of the 5 research projects I have going at the moment... but they're all just as awesome.

In terms of poker, I haven't played seriously in a few months now. Kinda feels good to take a break.
