I think this is a great board to raise now and save bets when you're behind. There's no need to get to showdown if you get any further action after you raise flop. -DeathDonkey [/ QUOTE ] DD, Could you explain this further? If he 3bets flop, you will now be obliged to peel the turn and thus pay the same 2.5 bets that would have taken you to showdown (granted, the fold is pretty safe at that point, though not 100% safe). If he just calls your flop raise, you are firing the turn right? And if he just calls the turn bet, are you value betting the river as well or checking behind? |

You're right, a calldown is better because of the combination of him possibly being nuts and the pot size (getting to the river no matter what). Also I played some stars 15/30 the other day and now understand what Heisenb3rg is saying about the random guys in that game.
If I did raise the flop yes I would definitely value bet the turn and the river would be a value bet on most cards except maybe a paint. -DeathDonkey |
