Re: Things that annoy you about your fellow golfers
People who play fast enough to catch up to me, and nice guy I am I let them play through, who then slow down because there is no one in front of them and keep me waiting on shots for the rest of the round.

People that wait for the green to clear for their 290 yard approach over water into the wind from a divot after they ripped the best drive of their life 230. [/ QUOTE ] It's pretty safe to say you've never been hit HARD by a golf ball before |

Re: Things that annoy you about your fellow golfers
[ QUOTE ]
Maybe this is just me, but I have noticed courses where the majority of people walk the course tend to play a lot faster than courses where the majority of people ride. I feel like in general the people who always drive carts are a lot worse golfers than the people that walk the course, and this comes from a lot of experience. Anyway I pretty much hate any round that takes over 3.5 hours, and I'm drunk but I really hate golf carts. [/ QUOTE ] When I was at SDGA (phoenix) we had a regular fivesome. We would play 18 holes in 3.5 hours whether we walked or rode. I hate golfcarts too. |

Re: Things that annoy you about your fellow golfers
1.Slow play in general.
2.marking your card when it's your turn to play. 3.Taking a bazzillion practice swings. 4.Standing in your line, especially behind you on the tee, and through the line of your putt. The latter has only been a problem since playing in England where it appears a lot of golfers are clueless. 5. Pocket jugglers 6. Not allowing play through 7. Any course designed for carts 8. Players who use a cart in a competition + clubs that allow this 9. Players that have no idea how to score a stableford. If you're going to play the comp, read the fecking rules before you start 10. BANDITS! Especially the deliberate handicap nursers. |

People who spend too long looking for obviously lost balls. [/ QUOTE ] If someone told me to stop looking for a lost ball I'd punch them in the face. Spending 40 bucks on a round of golf is bad enough now I can't look for the balls that cost me 30 bucks... |

Re: Things that annoy you about your fellow golfers
[ QUOTE ]
People that wait for the green to clear for their 290 yard approach over water into the wind from a divot after they ripped the best drive of their life 230. [/ QUOTE ] Damn this annoys me, because I see it all the time at the course I play at. There is a short par 5 that has a creek at about 230 from the tee. You need to carry about 245 to comfortably clear the creek. If you lay up you'll be about 260-270 out. Yet, people that lay up will still wait for the green to clear. I stand on the tee and want to scream "Dude, if you can't carry your driver 245 what makes you think you're going to hit your 3-wood 260-270??!!!" Another one, people that plumb bob their putts like they are playing in the Masters or something. They are usually bad putters anyway and don't know what they are doing. Just hit the damn 20 footer. You're going to miss it anyway. |
