why wouldn't I raise here on the flop? I don't want to give cheap cards for set or higher flush draw, plus the guy on the button I'm calling all in no matter what because of his stack size. I don't see the point in just calling and possibly letting utg+1 catch something when I'm OOP as well. I can see waiting for a safe card on the turn and c/r all in if it were heads up, but it's not.

Folding here was awful IMO...you flopped a str8..ok he could possibly have 10J but u have the 10s so that leaves only a J to beat you on a flush which you also had a good draw there to. So IMO call and rake it up all day and twice on Sundays...and if you lose your image just shot up through the roof.

Yeah, that should make it easy to get back 450BBs. This is such an obvious fold it's ridiculous. When there's 100 bucks or so in the pot to start the round, don't put 9000 in the pot with the 2nd nuts without a perfect read. Good laydown, and I don't mind how you played the hand up to that point.

So wait... a guy bad enough to give off this glaring tell isn't bad enough to think his T6 or 65 or 99 is the nuts??

In 30 minutes you've seen him play like 15-20 hands. In all likelihood he's a donk, and I've seen donks cream their pants with far less than the nuts too many times to let this go.

yeah, like 99% of players who buy in deep do it just in case they make the absolute mortal nuts against an absolute idiot. i think most players actually make less money buying in 400BB than they make buying in 150-200 BB deep.

what if you weigh his range at like a 10% chance of having 99 and a 2% chance of nut flush draw? does that make it a call?

Absolute worse case is he has Tx Js for chance at a higher flush draw.

In that case, you are 1.79:1 and the pot is giving 1.24:1 so his non-JT hands have to have a significant percentage for this to become a call based on ev alone.

In overbets like this, though, you have to go with your read and it sounds like you did (or at least convinced yourself that you did after the fact).
